Hello, and welcome to episode one of the InfoSec exchange podcast. My name is Jerry Bell.
We have concerning news out of Rhode Island where the operator of a sewage system has reportedly had its operations clogged up as a result of a ransomware infection. Sources familiar with the incident have said that the computers at the sewage system were recently upgraded and are very concerned that the investment is now being flushed down the toilet given the crappy timing of the incident.
The cyber experts of threatthreat.com say if not for the quick thinking of the cyber sanitation engineers the outcome of this attack could have been much worse than the cyber attack that caused the great molasses disaster of 1919 where 21 people lost their lives in Boston.
In other news, we have early indications of exactly how often this podcast will be released. And the answer is: not too freaking often.
And finally tonight you’re invited to join me on the fediverse by visiting infosec.exchange. That’s right: infosec.exchange. All of the cool.com domain names were already taken.
If you don’t already have an account on InfoSec.Exchange, you may notice that your account has to be approved. Fear not. I will approve all legitimate requests. I’m just tired of getting spam accounts about some spa in the middle of India.

@jerryExcellent podcast. I just feel like it's bad timing because I was about to start posting about my spa business in India: Ganges Flow Happy Ending Retreat.
